The company was formed in 1990 as a franchised dealer of Rice Trailers of Leicestershire. In 1994, an additional dealership was formed with Bateson Trailers. In the second half of the decade, as Rice Trailers underwent successive ownership changes, the company expanded into the supply of spare parts specialising in proprietary Rice parts, particularly older out of production items.

With the amalgamation of Yorkshire's Richardson Trailers with Rice in late 1998, the company further became Richardson dealers. Increased activity in the supply of spare parts necessitated converting existing workshops to a parts warehouse and relocating the workshops and service area.

The year 2005 finds the company as the world's leading suppliers of Rice spare parts as well as a leading trailer supplier of the Midlands. The company is also a stockist for Avonride (axles), Bradley (couplings), Knott (brakes), SAS (security) and several other trailer component manufacturers.
